A fragrance
house born of ramul —
the desert's sand.
TDS Australia designed Ramul end-to-end — a luxury Arabic fragrance house spanning five signature scents, hand soap, body wash, travel mist and linen mist. Identity, logo, colour system, packaging, bottle engineering and supplier specification, built as one coherent world.
Ramul — Arabic for sand — asked TDS Australia to build a modern luxury fragrance house rooted in the rhythm of the Arabian desert: dawn, afternoon, dusk, date harvest, deep night. One brand, five olfactive moments, and an expanding family of adjacent rituals.
The work spanned brand identity and logotype, a five-part colour system, full packaging design for perfumes, hand soap, body wash, travel mist and linen & towel mist, bottle engineering with gravity-flow refills, and a three-tier supplier pack covering premium, mid-range and cost-effective production runs.
Every surface was resolved as a desert surface: gradient sand, matte lamination, foil-stamped logos and a single, unmistakable signature red.
A package made for a caravan.
One logotype, four contexts.
The Ramul wordmark is drawn to read as a gesture in sand — a single continuous line, finished with a calligraphic descender. It is specified in four colourways across the identity system: signature red, warm beige, kraft brown, and deep black, each mapped to a specific product context.
Five hours of desert light.
Every fragrance is anchored by a six-to-eight colour family — a gradient story from the lightest dune highlight through to the deepest shadow, unified across the range by a single signature red.

Five surfaces, one material.
Each fragrance carries its colour story in the same physical language — rendered as a tactile dune of textured pigment. The surfaces are unified by light, scale and the same single black travel-spray rail tucked behind every box.
Cracked open on a dune, magnetic lid risen.
Five fragrances, five desert hours.
Each box is a rigid 2mm greyboard structure wrapped in specialty paper, 10cm × 16cm × 4cm, with a magnetic-close lid and an integrated travel-spray rail on the right edge. Flat dielines were specified alongside full 3D renders for every fragrance.
Dawn, in pale gold.
Sabh Al NoorThe opening fragrance of the day — the lightest box in the range. Gradient of light sand through warm sand, foil-stamped signature-red logo, spot-UV dune pattern running through the lid. Designed to feel like the first light on a dune.
Midday bloom.
Dhur El HelwaThe most unexpected colour in the range — a full coral and rose palette against warm ivory. White foil logo, embossed dune texture. Designed to disrupt the sand-and-red expectation and stretch the brand to a feminine, floral register.
The hour the sky turns plum.
Ghoroub QazahiThe transition hour. A soft lavender top bleeds through misty purple into dark plum and night-purple shadow. Signature red logo against violet creates the boldest contrast in the range.
The hour the sky turns plum.
Warmth, harvest, honey.
Baleh Al-GhuroobThe olfactory anchor of the range — dates, oud, honey, amber. Packaging runs warm beige through sand brown into burnt orange, with a solid dark brown panel for the spray rail. White foil logo for clean contrast on the warm gradient.
Smoke, oud, dark sand.
Layal Al SaharaThe darkest box — smoky brown through burnt sienna, dark rust, deep rust, and espresso black. Signature red foil logo glows against the near-black ground. Designed to close the range with the weight of deep night.
Date harvest, golden hour.
A campfire, a kilim, the last hour of the day.
Discovery set — the whole desert, in five doses.
Gravity-flow refill.
One bottle.
Two vessels.
The central innovation of the Ramul packaging system is a gravity-flow refill architecture connecting the main perfume bottle (7.5cm × 11cm × 3cm) with a detachable 10ml travel mini that docks into the right edge of every box.
Technical drawings specify the full refill path: the main bottle's reservoir feeds the travel mini through an inverted gravity channel, eliminating the need for a pump-refill mechanism. Own the system once, and every travel mini is topped up from the parent bottle.

Four ways to make a dune.
Natural Sandstone
CNC-carved sandstone shell over a borosilicate glass liner. The most authentic desert object — collectible, irreplicable, heavy, each piece slightly different.
Sandstone Resin
PU/epoxy composite with stone-powder coating, glass or PET inner. The scalable way to keep the dune texture for mass production while controlling gradient.
Ceramic (Matte Glaze)
Mould-cast porcelain with matte or satin gradient glaze. Chemically inert, niche-fragrance aesthetic, softer silhouette than stone.
Coated Glass
Thick-moulded glass, sandblasted and ceramic-coated. The industry-standard fallback — fast to tool, safe with every formulation.
Travel Spray · Aluminium
Anodized aluminium body for the detachable mini. Lightweight, durable, takes the signature red spot perfectly.
Travel Spray · Glass + Metal
Glass vial inside aluminium or stainless outer shell. Higher perceived value, complex assembly — the gift-edition path.
Beyond the bottle.
Ramul extends past perfume into a full ritual family: a 13cm hand-soap cube paired in two scents, a slim travel-mist tower with detachable 10ml mini, a body-wash trio in three palettes, and a pair of 400ml linen and towel mists. Each carries the same brand DNA in a silhouette built for its category.
Citral Clarity.
A moment of tranquilityThe hero cube of the ritual family. A 13cm × 13cm × 13cm rigid box with trapezoidal lid flaps that open to reveal the bottle nested in an EVA-foam cradle. The exterior carries a citral-yellow sand gradient, foil-stamped logotype, and a soft "A Moment of Tranquility" tag debossed into the lid underside. Designed as an object you keep on the vanity — not a box you throw away.
Desert Bloom.
Companion to Citral ClarityThe warm counterpart. Terracotta-through-cocoa gradient, same 13cm cube silhouette, same matte lamination, same debossed reveal — a different palette tag for the bath. The pair is designed to sit together on a retail shelf as a single tonal composition: citrus dawn and earth dusk, side by side.
Open it on a dune at sunrise.
A stone bench, the morning through a window.
Two new palettes, one family.
The hand-soap pair extends the master five-fragrance palette with two dedicated colour stories — a citral-yellow dawn for Safa' Al-Laymoun, and a terracotta-and-cocoa earth for Zahret Al-Sahra'. Pantone, CMYK and HEX values are specified across six to seven swatches per palette, ready for any of the three production tiers.
Close it again, the sun gone, dunes still warm.
A copper tap, the bath filled.
The bath, the road, the bedroom.
Five more SKUs build out the family. A travel-mist tower with detachable mini for the road. A body-wash trio in three palettes for the shower. A pair of 400ml mists for linens and towels — the "first scent of the day" and "last scent of the night" moments.
Open Road.
For the Road — Lél SekahA detachable mini-bottle system. The 10ml traveller docks into a slot on the 90ml main shell — slide it out for the airport, snap it back for the bedside. Anodised aluminium body, gravity-flow refill architecture, signature-orange accent stripe inset into the side rail. The cream-through-cocoa gradient sets Open Road apart from the lighter ritual products without breaking the family.
Citral Clarity, scaled.
500ml — the household formatThe hand-soap palette extends to a 500ml body-wash format with the same golden-yellow gradient, foiled logotype and quietly recessed side-slot pump. The pump sits in a horizontal channel in the front face — pressing it down dispenses without breaking the bottle's silhouette. Designed for the shower shelf at scale, in the same family voice as the cube.
Desert Bloom, scaled.
500ml — the warm counterpartThe terracotta companion at body-wash scale. Same chunky 500ml silhouette as Citral Clarity, same recessed pump, same internal architecture — but mapped to the Desert Bloom palette so the pair shelves cleanly together. The cross-section drawing on the right specifies the pump-tube-to-reservoir geometry so the converter can tool either palette from a single mould.
Calm Rise.
The lavender quiet of dawnA taller, slimmer body wash at 300ml — lavender-through-mauve, vertical side-slot pump, designed for the bathroom of someone who wants the ritual on hand without the shelf weight of the 500ml. The third palette in the body-wash trio, completing the day's arc: yellow morning, terracotta afternoon, lavender night.
A glassy desk of water at last light.
The first press, the morning ritual begins.
Soft Night.
Sheets, dusk, quiet roomsThe largest of the slim-format bottles at 400ml. A single long press disperses a fine mist across linen. The mauve gradient maps to that exact moment when the desert sky turns from rose to indigo. Top-mounted spray cap, integrated trigger, gravity-flow internal architecture — engineered for high-volume household use without losing the niche-fragrance feel. Ships with a 10ml sampler for travel and gift sets.
Towel Wake.
The bath, in the morningThe lightest member of the family. Cream through warm sand. Designed to mist a fresh bath towel on the way out of the shower — a daily ritual that takes one second and lasts the day. Same 400ml architecture as Soft Night with a different palette and a different cap profile, so the two never confuse on a bathroom shelf. The 10ml universal sampler ships with both linen-and-towel-mist gift sets.
A long press, the room turns indigo.
A lantern, a folded towel, the night settled.
First scent of the day — out of the shower, onto the towel.
A copper kettle, a hammam, a stack of clean towels.
The whole brand finds its home.
Every millimetre, specified.
The ritual range was specified to the millimetre. Four bottle dimension drawings, three internal cross-sections and one variant study — every cap, every pump-slot, every refill channel handed to the supplier as a hard spec. This is what the converter receives.
Three tiers. One feel.
The supplier pack documents three production tiers so Ramul can go to market at different price points without fragmenting the brand. Every tier preserves the gradient, the matte ground, the spot-UV signature and the foil logo — only the construction differs.
