STUMBLZ is an Australian company launching a platform that connects travelers with authentic local experiences in Southeast Asia.

The project required a complete brand identity and digital presence that would appeal to two distinct audiences: everyday Vietnamese locals who could become hosts, and small businesses seeking genuine tourist connections—all while avoiding the corporate feel of existing travel platforms.

  • Attract local businesses tired of high commissions and algorithmic obscurity
  • Differentiate from competitors like Airbnb Experiences and traditional tour operators
  • Build trust for a pre-launch platform collecting early sign-ups
  • Communicate a zero-commission, community-first business model
Brand Strategy

The brand needed to feel like a movement, not a marketplace. The core insight: everyday life in Vietnam is valuable and interesting to travelers.

What locals consider ordinary—morning fishing routines, grandmother’s recipes, hidden street food spots—are extraordinary experiences for visitors.

Brand Positioning: “Host and Be Hosted”—a platform where anyone can share what they love and earn income doing it, while businesses connect with travelers seeking authenticity.

Key Messages:

  • No experience needed—just live somewhere and love something about it
  • 100% earnings for hosts—no percentage taken
  • Free business profiles—no commissions on sales
  • Real local knowledge over algorithmic recommendations

Approachable, contemporary typography that avoids the sterile feel of corporate travel platforms.

Color Palette
Based on the website implementation, the brand employs a sophisticated dark-mode-first approach with gradient accents, suggesting:

  • Deep, rich backgrounds that feel premium yet accessible
  • Radiant gradient elements that add energy and movement
  • Clean contrast for readability across Vietnamese and English content

Design Philosophy
The visual system balances professionalism with approachability—serious enough for businesses to trust, casual enough for everyday people to feel welcome.

Design Features

Bilingual Experience
Seamless language switching between English and Vietnamese (🇦🇺 En / 🇻🇳 Vn) demonstrates cultural sensitivity and localization priority.

Narrative-Driven Layout
Rather than feature lists, the design tells stories:

  • “You fish every morning? That’s an experience.”

  • “You know the best street food spots? That’s an experience.”

  • “You make your grandmother’s recipe? That’s an experience.”

This copywriting approach, paired with the visual design, breaks down barriers and makes hosting feel accessible.

 

Visual Hierarchy
Large, bold typography guides users through key value propositions. Generous whitespace and strategic use of imagery create breathing room that feels confident, not cluttered.

 

Photography Direction
Authentic lifestyle photography showing real Vietnamese scenes—street food, local activities, genuine moments—not stock tourism imagery. This reinforces the platform’s commitment to authenticity.
