Jess was born in Saigon, and went to Japan in 2008 on a scholarship to study at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Beppu. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science in 2012, then went on to work at one of the top Advertising agency in Tokyo, Septeni Crossgate, as a Web Designer until 2014.
Due to Jess’ family being in Australia at the time, Jess decided to come to Sydney and pursued a degree in design. She studied Graphic Design at Billy Blue College of Design in Sydney from 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Communication Design in 2017, and after that she worked for multiple companies as a Graphic Designer in Sydney, Australia.
In 2017, she met Victor Tavitian and together with Victor in 2019-2020, established Tokyo Design Studio ( TDS Australia).
